Overview

SD1307 serial real-time clock (RTC) is a low-power BCD-coded clock/calendar with 56 bytes of nonvolatile SRAM (NV SRAM). Addresses and data are transferred serially through the I²C interface. The clock/calendar provides seconds, minutes, hours, day of week, date, month, and year; it automatically adjusts month-end dates for months shorter than 31 days, including leap-year correction. The clock supports 24-hour or 12-hour format with AM/PM indication. Integrated power detection automatically switches to backup power when the main supply fails, preserving time, date, and timing information. Available in DIP8 and SOP8.
