Overview
SD7211 is a highly integrated power/energy-monitoring analog front end (AFE) IC for power-related measurements in energy-metering applications. It has an internal 8-channel ADC and a programmable DSP to support applications such as metering, power protection, and master/slave devices.
SD7211 has internal MTP for storing chip configuration, DSP code, and calibration data. It provides an SPI slave interface for calibrating and programming data or DSP code. The MCU can be accessed through the SPI interface.
SD7211 can diagnose power-related data to identify overload, short-circuit, leakage-current, and arcing conditions, enabling additional power-protection functions. It also provides a flexible architecture, low system BOM cost, and programmable solutions to help manufacturers reduce development work and design multifunctional, flexible products.
