Overview
SMXD2000 is a dual Darlington driver with an integrated three-terminal regulator. Its integrated 78L05 provides a stable 5V output. The Darlington drivers are optimized for switching inductive loads such as relays, and integrated freewheeling diodes absorb relay turn-off voltage spikes. Each channel can output 200mA; paralleling Darlington devices increases output current. Applications include relay, lighting, LED display, linear-driver, and logic-buffer driving. Each input stage includes a series 2.7K base resistor and can connect directly to TTL/CMOS circuits at 5V, processing data that would otherwise require a standard logic buffer.
