01 / 02SU3012 is a high-performance, high-precision, low-cost PWM power-switching circuit for non-isolated buck and flyback applications. It integrates a dedicated current-mode PWM controller with a high-voltage power MOSFET in an SOP8/DIP8 package and an error amplifier. Optimized design provides good overshoot and dynamic response with few external components. Across the full AC input-voltage range, an internal precision resistor divider and error amplifier regulate the output accurately to 12V. A frequency-reduction and burst-mode oscillator, frequency jitter, and soft-drive design provide good EMI performance. SU3012 integrates power-on soft start and multiple protections with automatic restart, including cycle-by-cycle current limiting, overload protection, output-short-circuit protection, on-chip overtemperature protection, VDD overvoltage protection, and undervoltage lockout.
